My Approach

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

My therapeutic journey is akin to crafting a lasting relationship, a sanctuary where one can fearlessly delve into the realms of pain, the mysteries of the unknown, and the wonders of curiosity. Guided by the tenets of humanistic psychology, I perceive every individual as a multifaceted whole—a unique entity with distinct needs. Rooted in the acceptance and commitment theory, my dedication lies in nurturing self-acceptance, allowing every fragment of one's being to be embraced with love and care. This philosophy guides my mission to provide a space where all parts of you find solace and understanding.

My approach is multifaceted and integrative, reflecting my belief that every individual's therapeutic journey is a unique narrative. Drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, narrative, emotional focus, and mind-body connection therapies, I customize my approach to create personalized therapy tools for each client. This dedication to tailoring strategies stems from my unwavering commitment to collaborating with clients, embarking on a journey to uncover their inner worlds and values. This process anchors them in their authentic selves, empowering them to live a life that resonates with their personal meaning and intention.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a therapeutic approach that helps people navigate their emotional difficulties by fostering mindfulness and embracing acceptance. Unlike other therapies that focus on eliminating negative emotions, ACT encourages individuals to acknowledge and accept these feelings as part of their human experience. The core idea is to enable individuals to live a rich and fulfilling life by learning to respond to challenging thoughts and emotions in a healthier way.

In therapy sessions, ACT is woven into discussions and exercises that promote mindfulness and self-compassion. Clients learn to detach from distressing thoughts and feelings, preventing these from dictating their choices. They also work on clarifying their personal values, which act as guiding principles for their actions. By integrating mindfulness, acceptance, and value-driven behaviours, ACT equips individuals to confront fears, make changes, and pursue a life that aligns with their deepest desires, ultimately fostering emotional well-being and resilience.
